During these challenging times, we recognize other medical concerns can still arise. In order to slow the spread of COVID-19 while still providing needed care to our community, Burnett Medical Center is transitioning to Telehealth clinic appointments. With a Telehealth visit, patients can meet with a provider on their smart phone or other device while staying safe at home. When you contact Burnett Medical Center to schedule an appointment, our staff will assist with scheduling and provide you with instructions needed for your Telehealth visit. Please note, some types of visits would still require an in-person visit.
Examples of eligible Telehealth visits include:
Annual wellness visits
Depression / Anxiety / ADHD
Follow up Emergency Department visit
Follow up to workers compensation
Request for dermatology referral
Skin infection / insect bite
Some medication checks
Test results review
If you develop mild symptoms of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control recommends you stay home and stay away from others as much as possible. If you are having trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion, or bluish lips or face you should receive medical attention. Call 911 and notify the operator you think you might have COVID-19.
Throughout this process, our commitment to your well-being and safety is our priority. We are prepared to continue to serve you and your loved ones through this time of need.
